Long ago the humans came across the sea to a new land in search of a new home. They were met at this strange new place with races quite unlike themselves. As the humans gathered into clans they scattered across the land, each finding their own way. As time passed five distinct cultures sprang up, each tied to an element that gave them power. To the north was the plane known as Tine, whose people became attuned to fire and soon mastered it. To the west was Achmad, the people grew close to the wood. To the east Mittal and Talav shared the mountains and hills and each mastered metal and the earth. To the south lived nomadic people who traveled the Iske bay and rivers inland. They too, mastered their element. Beyond the grassy plains of Tine and the forest of Achmad was a dark, misty forest that none dare enter. Any who did were never seen again. But one night, the mist that had once stayed in Dusma began to come over the land, with them came the creatures of the forest. They would lure unsuspecting humans into their forest, where they were never seen again. The creatures of the forest came to be known to the peoples of Dúil as “Fare Folk.” With each passing day the two realms come closer to one another. Dúil and Dusma have lived hundreds of years in their own worlds but times are changing. There is a war coming, and Dúil is gravely outnumbered.
